What's this?

A patient's perspective

Neale Salt

New Inn Farm, Wilton Park, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, DL14 0DQ, UK

I was first diagnosed with insulin dependent diabetes at the age of 40. Following this diagnosis I began to gradually experience increasing problems with obtaining and maintaining erections. Although I knew something was wrong, I was embarrassed and thought the problem would just go away. It was a couple of years before I made the decision to go and see my doctor and was diagnosed as suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED) at the age of 42.
